This functional feeding silo has several practical properties. Several birds can eat at the same time due to an opening on both sides. The feeder is divided in two separate compartments that can be filled with different types of feed. One compartment has a Plexiglas front and is suited for loose feed, the other compartment is fitted with a mesh, suitable for nuts. Refilling is easy, by sliding up the top lid. The raised rim acts as a perch for the birds, this presents as a separate feed tray and help lower the risk of spreading avian diseases
