With these innovative garden solutions, even the smallest garden is big enough

Populations are growing and getting older. Both of these facts are the reason why more people have to deal with living on a smaller surface and city balconies in stead of large gardens. Take advantage of this trend with our space-saving balcony tips.
Tip 1: Vertical gardening
Who says gardening takes up a lot of space? With our new grow boxes, gardening is available for everyone. The narrow version of these boxes, make a (vegetable) garden on every balcony suitable. Because the tray 'floats' above the ground, it takes up little space and creates extra storage space below the tray. Another advantage: very ergonomic for the retired gardener. Plants can be planted at standing height. There is no more bending down and suffering from a sore back.
Vertical gardening is possible in many ways. For example with a plant ladder. Or by hanging several hanging pots next to and under each other.
Tip 2 – Optical illusion
Everything you can see trough, visually enlarges the space. The less is standing on the ground, the more spacious a small balcony seems. By choosing different heights of planters for example, this effect is enhanced.
Tip 3 - Practical use of space
If you don't have a lot of space, the trick is to use it wisely and handy. Furniture which can be fold up and stored, for example, is very efficient on a small balcony. A nice bistro set offers a place to relax on long summer evenings with a good glass of wine, or with a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper on your laptop. On the other hand, you can store this furniture in no time, so you have more space for gardening, for example.
Another good example: mobile planters or a plant trolley. A plant trolley works on the same principle as a mobile planter. A plant trolley is placed under a flowerpot and makes it easier to move. Neem more space? Just give it a swing.
