The 13 most attractive bird items for a succesful garden birdwatch
Thursday, December 16, 2021
Counting garden birds takes place every year between December and February in several countries. The national bird protection foundations call on everyone to spend half an hour counting birds in the garden on one of the days during this weekend. In 2021, almost twice as many people participated in this annual half-hour birding as compared to last year. However, the average number of birds counted per garden was relatively low and the number of species per garden declined. So there is room for improvement and as a retailer you can help!
Help make the birdwatch a success
Due to the lockdown, the interest in birds has increased significantly and we expect this interest to continue in 2022. It is then of course extra fun if you can help your customer attract even more and especially more different species of birds this year. For example, make the garden extra attractive with peanut butter jars, scatter food, feeding tables and suet balls in and around the garden. In a large garden not all birds can be seen easily, so let the young counters help with a sturdy pair of binoculars that make up to 7x the size of those seen with the naked eye! Good preparation is half the work, right?
Complete package for birds
These feeding systems including feed are a handy all-in-one concept that is quick and easy to carry. The different types of food in the packages also conveniently attract more types of birds! In addition to food, water also belongs in this list. Think about selling bird drinking bowls in the winter, too. The winter feed package below is provided in a bowl that can be used as a bird feeder, a drinking water bowl and a bird bath.
See the birds even more clearly?
Go for transparent feeders, to see what is happening inside a bird feeder. These modern bird feeders are made of transparent plastic. That is handy, especially if you want to count birds from your kitchen or living room window! And you can immediately see whether the bird feeder needs refilling.
Party in the garden XL!
With these extra large feeding systems everyone makes it a party for birds in the garden in no time. The large feeding table has room for lots of birds and allows them to fly in from all directions, while also keeping them nice and dry. The suet ball dispenser and the palm feeding hanger can also be accessed from all sides. This palm feeder with 6 pull-out hangers is easy to put in the ground, but is also available as a lovely hanging version in a gift box.
Feeding displays
Do you also want to go big? immediately order a whole or a half display full of bird snacks! In this way, a successful garden birdcount is within reach.
