For Esschert Design, sustainability was a matter of course before it became a wellknown term. Ever since 1989 we have wanted to introduce and involve people - and especially children - in nature. For us, nature is the greatest source of inspiration for all our products. We want not only this generation to enjoy the outdoors, but also many generations to come!

Sustainability is an important core value for us and in the coming period we would like to take you along on our interpretation of this concept. In this blog we highlight our grow articles, which as a product promote more greenery in the home and garden. These are not only hip, but also totally green!

Green in the home!

That plants are 'healthy' is actually well known. They purify the air and that is one of the reasons consumers like to choose for more green. Nowadays, consumers also like to take care of their own cuttings or grow their own vegetables, fruit and greenery. Green can be found in every household and that is something you also see in your sales.

Within our collection, we have various fun products for growing. All products for cultivation can be found here, but in this blog we would like to highlight a selection for you.

Your own potatoes

Our unique potato growing pot allows the consumer to simply follow the plant growth. The pot consists of an inner and outer pot. The potted potatoes are placed in the inner pot and by simply lifting the inner pot one can see the growth of the potatoes.

Because the pot is made of plastic, it is lightweight. This makes it easy for the consumer to move the pot around. Harvesting is a piece of cake: you can check whether the potatoes are large enough by lifting the pot and then taking them out. Do you want to know which potatoes are in the pot again? Then use one of our sustainable planting sticks made from bamboo. The potatoes can then be stored in the decorative potato basket made from willow branches.

Multifunctional grow tables for fruit and vegetables

Our seedling tables come in different sizes and colors and are suitable for garden and balcony. The tables are at working height, making the maintenance of a (mini) vegetable garden a lot easier.

Victorian greenhouses for your home

In our assortment we also have greenhouses with a traditional Victorian look. Made of zinc and glass with a roof that can be opened. The handle makes it easy to move the greenhouse.

A small greenhouse is often used for cultivation, with the aim of transplanting the young plants as they grow. But a greenhouse can also be used for growing small edible crops such as arugula. It is therefore nice to offer seed mixtures of herbs with it, so that your customer can start growing his own crops right away! Also nice with our round (black) terracotta pots.
