The vegetable gardening season is starting again! We are, of course, happy to help you get started with that. To guarantee many beautiful vegetables and herbs, we collected 15 handy tools that make your customer's vegetable garden a success.
A good basis with a raised or greenhouse
Your customer has a passion for growing, but not always the space to build a vegetable garden. With a raised bed
it is possible to maintain a vegetable garden anywhere, in the (city) garden, on the roof terrace or even on the balcony for example! This is due to the various sizes and types of containers that you will find in our range. The FSC ® certified wooden propagators can be expanded with a trellis, a cold frame or have extra storage space underneath. In addition, we supply a root canvas with all the raised beds, in natural or brown. The raised beds are the ideal height and relieve the back.
Vegetables such as endive, arugula, cauliflower or carrots grow best behind glass in the very beginning. A greenhouse
speeds up and extends the growing season. You can therefore start cultivating at the first rays of spring and continue longer into the autumn. You will find different sizes of greenhouses in our assortment, with which your customer can already grow his first cuttings behind glass. After that, the grown cuttings can be taken to the grow table or vegetable garden!
Successful sowing
Once the foundation is in place, the seeding of fruits and vegetables can begin. Useful tools for sowing include a big dibber
and other hand tools, such as a shovel and plant markers. With the marked centimeters on the big dibber your customer always sows at the right depth! This way each plant sown gets the best conditions and the chance to grow into a strong plant. On our slate plant markers you can easily write the name of the sown vegetable or fruit with the included waterproof wax pen. Recognizing a vegetable thus becomes a breeze!
This helps the vegetables grow
In the spring, the wind can still be strong at times and most small plants still need to gain weight. A plant support prevents kinking or toppling and helps along the growth of the vegetable garden. A trellis
fits the raised vegetable garden on legs, but for an in-pot potted bell pepper plant there is also compact plant support available. For a whole string of green beans, a wide plant support (to be placed next to each other) offers a solution. It is useful to place these plant supports as soon as possible to prevent damage to the roots. Place the supports therefore near the vegetable garden articles in your store or as 'related articles' in your webshop.
In addition to warmth and natural sunlight, all plants also need water. Seedlings and young cuttings have no or few roots and are therefore somewhat looser in the ground. Therefore it is best to water them with a plant mister. In this way they are not washed away. Larger and stronger plants can do fine with a watering can (with a sprinkler head).
A sprinkler head provides a mild rainfall, which prevents your customers vegetable garden from crusting on the ground and excess water. By the way, did you know that the best time to water the vegetable garden plants is early in the morning? In the hot summer months, a watering in the evening is not unavoidable either.
