Wednesday, August 26, 2020
As autumn is coming, we experience several changes in our everyday lives. Kids go back to school, we’re getting back to work and after all, we have to keep an eye on the sky to be prepared for some rainy hours. In this week’s blog, we write about handy and useful articles to stay clean and dry even when the weather is bad.
Staying in a good mood
Rainy days can sometimes challenge our positive feelings, especially when the weather changes fast, without any former sign. We all know the feeling, you’re all dressed up in your favorite outfit and then it gets ruined by a sudden rain storm. In such occasions, an umbrella can be a real blessing.
For those who want to “keep the Sun shining inside”, we would recommend one of our unique and trendy umbrellas, which might as well make others smile. You will certainly find something that matches your style in our wide range.

So, you arrived at the office high and dry, then the question arises: What should I do with the wet umbrella?Your pretty floor might disagree with putting a dripping “wet hero” on it, so why not use an umbrella stand instead? The stand collects the water drops for you and holds up to 3 to 4 umbrellas, which save a lot of space while drying. Oh and if you need to leave the office again, open your umbrella outside, remember it’s said opening inside brings you bad luck.
There's no arguing about taste, that's why there are various types of umbrella stands available. If, for example, you like traditional and craftsmanship, try a cast iron stand.
Keep the mud outside
However, too much water and humidity ruins the shoe material and when it rains heavily, your shoes might get wet. Not to mention how annoying it is when dirt and water come inside the house and give additional housework.
Fortunately, there are several tools you can use, when it comes to protecting and taking care of your boots and shoes properly.
1. Boot scrapers and cleaners
Boot scrapers and cleaners are basic, yet very useful tools for cleaning your shoes. Place a boot scraper in front of the door or in the garden, so that you can easily remove stubborn dirt from the underside of the shoes. As they are decorative, you can also give your guests a nice first impression when entering the front door. What’s more, the brushes are made of FSC wood which means they are sustainable to buy. And those made of cast iron are durable and will withstand storms for years.

2. Boot racks
Once you have stepped over the doorstep with a clean sole, placing your shoes on a boot rack will make it easy to store, organize and clean them. For example, a boot rack made of galvanized metal is not only rust-proof, but also has a modern feel. And with the supplied brush and scraper, you can easily clean your boots in minutes just when you get home. Our different types of boot racks with different equipment are available here.
Last, but not least, place a nice doormat either outside or inside to ensure that rain stays completely outside. Read more about our different types of doormats here.
